RYT-200, LPC, TRE Provider
Lynea is a lifelong educator dedicated to the development of human spirit. With a background in counseling, 40+ years of dance & yoga training, and coming from a family of musicians, Lynea brings a holistic, lyrical and compassionate touch to her yoga and dance teaching.
Lynea’s creation, YogaDance, has attracted quite a following. Utilizing her warm and supportive teaching style, she opens her students’ hips and hearts with traditional yoga poses and then, with the support of infectious dance music, takes them on a joyful exploration of traditional female dances. As one of her student’s states, “YogaDance is the most fun I have had since dancing in the living room as a teenager!”
Carrie completed her teacher training in 2013 with Jim Gillen, earning her RYT-200. She is an avid ultra-long distance runner and brings her training knowledge and athletic experiences to her classes. She has brought her “love” of foam rolling to her Wednesday night class. In case you don’t know about foam rolling, it is a form of self-myofascial release, or self-massage, that gets rid of adhesions in your muscles and connective tissue. It also increases blood flow to your muscles and creates better mobility, helping with recovery and improving performance.
